I have set up numerous dual boot machines usinf fdisk and Partition Magic. Partition Magic saves you a lot of time. Good question. If you want to use NTFS (NT's File System) then your partitions have to be mirrors of one another. However, if your willing to use both in FAT 16 then I would not recommend putting them both in the same partition. If Win98 is used, it can be installed after NT4, and dual boot will be maintained.
